The Bad Beat Jackpot is a progressive jackpot system popularized by Party Poker. For every raked hand played on a Party Poker Bad Beat table, 50 cents goes into the Bad Beat jackpot. There are over 100 tables, so considering they are all active, the Bad Beat jackpot increases an average of $1,000 per hour. They don't give out the entire jackpot, though. When you hit the jackpot, you get 70% of the amount - 20% is rolled over for the next jackpot, and 10% is kept by Party Poker as administrative fees. The loser of the hand gets 50% of the distributed amount, the winner gets $25%, and the rest is distributed among the players. To participate in Bad Beat, you have to play on a specially marked table under the tab "Cash Game" with four or more players participating. Players who sit out will not get a share. The hand must also be raked and the jackpot contribution collected.

When we talk about 'free money' in the gambling online world, we could be referring to any of two things. First would be the signup (or something parallel) bonuses given to new customers, I am not going to talk about that. What I will be speaking of would be the other kind, the play money games, or free money games. That done away with, let me ask the big question: is playing at the free money online poker rooms necessary? The answer is no, since I know so many people who are good gamblers now, yet they never played at the free money online poker rooms. Some of them did, just once, just to see how they would take it, they didn't like it obviously. I for one, strongly think that it is best to play at the free money online poker rooms if you are a newbie. At the very least, this genre of games would give you the rudiments in terms of so many poker variants like Omaha, Holdem, Stud poker, and even Razz. Staying for a long time at the free money online poker rooms would aid a gambler in imbibing techniques and yes, even the virtue of patience. Best of all, free is free, gratis is gratis, you could run amok in your betting if you wish.

Let me ask you some thought-provoking queries, have you ever asked why some gamblers play loosely, while there are those who gamble tightly? Have you ever asked yourself why some poker players are as aggressive as a Viking on the warpath, while there are those who are of the opposite mold? We are speaking of psychology here, and this factor is crucial both in the offline and online games. However, its cruciality is pronounced at the top poker rooms online, and why so? At the top poker rooms, the high rollers, the sharks, the pros-pretending-to-be-newbies all congregate, and if you are a newbie, chances are you would be the target of everybody else. Not you particularly, but your bankroll, that is. That is the way it is, the strong prey on the weaker, and that's the way it is in so many facets of life. At the top poker rooms, you cannot check the eyes of a competitor is he/she is happy or irked with the kind of hands he has received. It is a good thing that there are online tells to help us out, but really, one cannot be an expert in discerning such tells overnight. It really takes practice and a lot of commitment to self-studying (on the game).

We have hundreds of online rooms that fall under the class of No deposit poker rooms, let me tell you about two of them. First, VC Poker, in here, you have to log in the bonus code Freemoney to avail of the incentive. After which, you would be getting ten dollars gratis within 3 days, but don't despair, that is the worst case scenario. On many occasions, the recipient would get it sooner. Player points necessary to avail of this bonus have been cut from a higher level, and at present, the gambler would have to accumulate just 2000 action points. Next, we have PokerSourceOnline, and they are giving five various kinds of enticements at their No deposit poker rooms, same thing, open the account. Go through the verification, and that's that, start playing. A 50 dollar upfront banking funds from the site, and you may scoff at the amount, but I don't. At the kind of inflation we have, I'll get anything free. Besides, poker rooms have a tendency to sweeten money offers as time goes by, that is the good thing about competition, with a capital C. One last thing, at the No Deposit Poker Rooms, there is also such a thing as etiquette, just telling you that.

World Series of Poker PlayerA World Series of Poker player, be it a first timer who got really lucky (like Moneymaker, but I am not saying his victory was all luck) or a real veteran (like somebody who already had 5 or 6 bracelets), has the following attributes. These ladies and gentlemen you may think as opinions, but really, consider them as fact. If you are dead serious on becoming a World Series of Poker player (particularly reaching the Finals), make sure you have the following: Practice and study: this is willingness to put in the extra hours, and this is the discipline to do the extra hours even if one is sick, or tired, or in a bad mood. Detail-oriented: have you ever wondered why some (few, whatever) exceptional chess players are also good poker sharks? Enough said on that one, both games call for the greatest attention to the minute details. Courage: guts is the term for this by many poker buffs, but whatever it is you choose to call it, it is that readiness to do the "leap into the dark", I mean, if you are constantly afraid of calling somebody's bluff, you would get nowhere. Not as a World Series of poker player, not even in the other minor events. Humility: this is the ability to accept your shortcomings, work on them, keep on studying. I do not know about you, but those pros I consider as the greatest, they are the humble ones. As opposed to somebody like Mike...ehr, never mind that.

Online poker is no longer a new thing, but compared to poker per se, the former is still fairly new. It cannot be denied that unlike generations ago, the gambling world is now divided into two, landbased and online poker/gambling. There are many advantages poker rooms/free poker room hold over the landbased, like- more hands, convenience and the assurance of anonymity for those who consider their privacy to be paramount. Indeed, landbased establishments as a rule do not allow patrons to play free games, a free poker room is not something they would offer, not before, not now, and not in the immediate future. Not so for the online genre, a serious online site would have a free poker room for its patrons. If yours does not have one, rethink and consider switching to another site. The wonderful thing about the free levels of an online room is you can practice for the longest time without risking any of your hard-earned cash, you can just keep practicing until you attain a higher level of confidence. Another good thing: this would be the time and maybe the only time you can "go crazy". I mean there is no real cash involved, so you can do the most outrageous poker maneuvers or bluffing you want, and that actually is fun for many people. However, if this turns into a habit, it might result in disastrous repercussions in the real-money games.
