The Red Kings poker room, that's our theme on the plate today, so let me give a bit of a review on it. Their games include Omaha, Limt Holdem, Omaha HL. The software is capable of so many languages, a refreshing change from all the sites that only support English. Red Kings support Finnish, Polish, Norwegian, Danish, Czech, German, Swedish, Turkish, Italian, Spanish, French and English. Other casino games they offer are slots and blackjack, so for those who think poker is the only offering here, now you know. Their software is anchored on Ongame, and one thing that I find so useful in Red Kings is that one could play at 4 tables all at the same time. Traffic at Red Kings: it could go past seven thousand in the cash games of the room, but naturally, the bulk would go for the Holdem affairs, just like in all the other poker rooms. While I will not call the competition here as soft, Red Kings' games are quite a good source of revenue, for there are more than a few fish at the tables. I mean, assuming you are not a fish yourself, if you get my drift. Just to mention it in passing and in closing, the room has 3 various signup incentives for the gamblers.

If at the Olympics, the US forms what many call "Dream Team", I think that if an equivalent at the online poker genre has to be named, Full Tilt would get the honors. I mean, look at the stable of professional poker players they have in their official team: Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, the SWEET-TALKING (ah-hurm, somthing is lodged in my throat) MATUSOW, Allen Cunningham, Carlos Mrtensen. Mind you, I have not included everybody. Let me just talk about one of these illustrious field of professional poker players, that would be Lindgren. He comes from California, winning his first tourney six years ago at the Bellagio. Some years later from that point on, he landed at the silver place at the WSOP circuit competitions held at Atlanta. Some observers noted that that was his fifteen minutes of fame, but that I guess, would be a relative one. Now, in 2006, he won the first place at FullTilt Poker.net Poker Pro Showdown event, and as such, at least that time, he could be considered as 'first among equals' in that illustrious field. At present, experts have projected that his tourney winnings have gone past $4,700,000, which may not be the highest in the world, but still a notable achievement. He has also penned a book entitled WORLD POKER TOUR: MAKING THE FINAL TABLE, which should serve as a good reference for the typical poker buff.

Let me make this clear, when I use the words "confession of a poker player", it is being used in the neutral sense. I'm saying this because so many individuals automatically think of "confession" as a word that connotes unworthy deeds done. OK, now that done away with, let me give you a confession of a poker player who is considered as one of the strongest of his generation. I'm speaking of Phil Laak, when he was asked by interviewers/media people, to say something about his childhood. Particularly a memorable one, so he narrated this one. When his family was in Massachusetts, he was four years old, he discovered one fact of life. That one could purchase a pack of firecrackers just for 25c, but that if one bought 5 sets, it would be 20c apiece. He started thinking: where to buy bulk, so he approached the Campus Source. The kid first did not want to reveal it, but when Laak offered five dollars, the Campus Source gave in. Laak considered that his first-ever deal in the world of business. I wonder if he thinks of that experience when going against the world's top pros, hmm...like Johnny Chan perhaps?

Actually, I must have spent close to 2 hours thinking which of Las Vegas' sites I will review for this one, until my 8-year old (precocious) niece said, 'Why don't you just do one of the best?' Well, that's what I did, so here is one major poker room (Las Vegas)- Binions. Table games here number to more or less 70, poker variants are Holdem, Omaha 8 or Better, Stud, NL Holdem. Since the last-mentioned is very popular not just in Vegas but in the whole country, let me just mention that their games here have blinds of 1-2 dollars. If you are a tourney buff, then this poker room Las Vegas would suit you just fine. Tourneys are usually everyday, buyin for 60 dollars, and everybody would start with one thousand bucks worth of chips. Here is good news for the non-smokers, no smoking is permitted in this poker room Las Vegas...they (the smokers) would have to go out and do it in the open. Oh, if you are a very busy person and Sunday night is the only downtime you have, then sorry. For Sunday nights, they have no NL Holdem in there. (But you can drop by my place, I usually hold Sunday night poker, just bring a bttle of wine will you?)

I've heard a couple of acquaintances say that Daniel Negreanu is American. Well, I really don't know if he is under dual citizenship or something, but he was born in Toronto, and that makes him a Canadian poker player in my book. At present, Negreanu is among the strongest and most-liked player on the world map. The achievements he has achieved are nothing to be scoffed at, listen. Three WSOP bracelets, two title of WPT, and other winnings in tourneys. If you want awards, I'll give you what this Canadian poker player has done: Best All-Around Player Award (WSOP of 2004) and in that same year, CardPlayer's Player of the Year, awesome isn't it? There are some who say that he is a better poker writer than player, and while I may be in the mood to contest that, I see the merits of their assertion. This Canadian poker player's articles are filled with advices (as opposed to just filled with words), and his insights regarding particular holdings are truly helpful to the poker playing public. If you have not seen his website, check it out one of these days, it is consistently maintained, plus the fact that his blog is a path to knowing him personally. At the tables, his aggressiveness is well-known, and this one guy who would shield his blind as though his life depended on it.
